Christmas Tree Permits

It's that time of year again! The holiday season is upon us. Christmas tree permits will go on sale this Friday, November 13th. This is a great family tradition. Families must purchase the permits in person, as a valid ID is needed. Permits are $10 each with a $2 service charge. Exact change is appreciated. You can find more information about the permits on the Wasatch-Cache National Forest Service website.

Owners' Work Party a HUGE SUCCESS!

We had a great day on Saturday at our First Annual Owners' Work Party. We had about fifty individuals helping us clear the hill. We worked hard to remove the trees killed by pine beetle.

We cut down many trees and hauled them down the hill to be burnt. We also worked on our drainage system to prevent errosion on the hill side.

After the work we enjoyed a pot luck BBQ and many enjoyed the swimming pool and hot tubs.

We also had a chance to talk about concerns from the various owners and exchanged ideas for development. Everyone agreed that we want to do this every year on the last Saturday in August. So set you calendars now to join us next year.

Summer Vacations

We have been so happy to host so many Summer Vacations and some fun Family Reunions this year! The swimming pool has been so much fun! ATV riding in the beautiful forest has never been better! We hope you have all had a wonderful time and will come back to see us again!

Busy Weekend

Who would know that the weekend after July 4th would be much busier that the 4th? It has been a great weekend and we have seen lots of campers, ATV riders, fishermen, Harley Riders, mountain bikers, and ice cream cone eaters!

If you haven't made it up this summer come on up! We just turned up the heat in the pool to 86 degrees and as you can see from the photos it is getting plenty of use.

BBQ July 3 - 5

We are set up for our July 4 BBQ. Come on up and enjoy. A few rain showers might pass by but right now the weather is great! BBQ and snocones Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

We are ready for Summer!

We are ready for Summer!! We finished Cabin 8 last week and it is ready to be used. The swimming pool and both hot tubs are up and running and we have new pool furniture.

The new fleet of ATVs are ready. We have single seaters, two seaters, and six passenger machines so come on up and enjoy the great outdoors.

Mirror Lake Highway 150 Now Open

The Mirror Lake Highway from the Kamas side is now open. Come take advantage of all the summer activities at The Cabins. The swimming pool is open, ATV trails are clear and ready to use, the fishing ponds are stocked, and much more! Summer is going to be great this year, we are really excited to start hosting family reunions in our five-bedroom cabins. If you haven't seen these cabins yet, you need to come check them out and book one for your next reunion. They are beautiful! Memorial Day Weekend

The Holiday weekend is wrapping up and it was very nice. We got a little rain yesterday but Friday, Saturday, and today have been great.

The pool is now open and heated!!! The ice cream machine is on!!!

Cabin 8 is progressing nicely. It should be open by the middle of June.

This week we are continuing to work on landscaping, caulking and staining the exterior of Cabin 8, finish painting and staining the interior of Cabin 8, tile cabin 8, kitchen flooring Cabin 8, and cabinets installed on Cabin 8.

The temperature is great!

Maybe Spring is Here?? Cabin 8 and Property Beautification Continues!

I am afraid of speaking too early again, but maybe Spring is really here this time. The snow is essentially gone from around the lodge. The gates to both the North Slope Road and the Highway are open. The snow is melted off the Highway to just past Whitney turnoff. It will probably be at least another month before the Highway is open from Kamas.

The ATVs are here and some of the trails are accessible. Half day rides are great right now.

We are working very hard to improve the grounds and to complete all construction by the middle of June.

The swimming pool should be open by the end of the month.

Cabin 8 is progressing rapidly. We are starting the interior work and sheetrock is going on the walls on Tuesday. This cabin will be ready for use by the end of June.

Family Vacation Testimonial

We stayed at your cabins last August for two nights and we loved it! It was our son Jacob's first real vacation and we needed a place where he would be able to sleep; the cabin was perfect! The scenery, weather and service were perfect as well! We can't wait to stay there again. Here are some of the pictures we took.

Snowy Weekend

Well old man winter is still hanging around. We just woke up to another 18" of new snow. The snow is amazing and the snowmobiling is the best it's been all year. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday forecast is for sunshine and warmer days. It should make for some incredible snowmobiling! Come take advantage of our Rent One, Get One Free on Snowmobiles or Cabins. If this weekend or week won't work for you, come on up next weekend. The snow should still be great. We are starting to book up both our cabins and snowmobiles so call now to make your reservation. Winter Is Still Here - Cabin 8 Progressing!

Winter came back with full force. We have had about four feet of snow over the past two weeks.

We are pushing ahead with Cabin 8 as quickly as we can. We have had to take every other day off because of snow fall and then spend hours shoveling the next morning.

We still hope to have the roof on by the end of next week so we can stop shoveling the snow.

We should have great snowmobiling for at least the next couple weeks so come on up and take advantage of our rent one get one free on cabins, snowmobiles, and ATVs.

Did I say Spring was here? I was WRONG! Winter is back!

We have at least one foot of new snow and it has been coming down hard all day.

This could be the best weekend for snowmobiling all year. To top it off we are giving a free snowmobile rental with each paid rental.

We also still have a few cabins left with rent one night get one night free you should take one last shot at winter and come on up.

Snow is Melting and Spring is On Its Way

What a beautiful day! Days like today remind me why I like Spring. Spring is a wonderful time to be in the mountains. The days are pleasant and the skies are incredible at night. Without the lights from the city it looks like there are thousands and thousands of more stars in the sky.

Come on up and sit in the hot tub at night and you will not want to leave.

Cabin 7 is nearing completion and will be ready for renters by May. So if you haven't made your reservations for Mothers' Day or Memorial Day do it now. All cabins are rent one night and get the second night free until June 11.

ATVs are the same - rent one get one free. Or if you want to take one last snowmobile ride you can probably do that for another week or two and get one free as well.

We have made excellent progress this week on Cabin 8 and expect to set the ridge beam next week and have the roof one within three weeks from today. So check back often and watch the progress.

Here we go again!

Here we go again! In less than four months since we started Cabin #7 we are starting Cabin #8.

The logs and lumber were delivered this morning for Cabin #8. This cabin will be completed in June and ready for our peak summer season. This will significantly enhance our capacity and allow us to accommodate large families and groups. We will now have sleeping capacity for more than 150 people at a time.

Check back often because we are going to really move on this cabin. You will see walls going up within one week.

Better yet, come on up and check it out. From now until June 11, 2009 all cabins are rent one night get one night free. No blackout dates. That's right, Easter, Mother's Day, and even Memorial Day weekend are included. Also, rent an ATV or snowmobile (probably for another few weeks) and get the second one free.

Holiday Weekend

What a great holiday weekend! With Valentine's Day today and President's Day on Monday, we've got a lot of people here! The snow has been falling on and off throughout the day, with accumulation of about 4-5" since yesterday. We have had a lot of snow this season! Come on up and enjoy some of the best snowmobiling around!

As you can see, cabin 7 is coming right along! The metal roof is on and the windows and doors are in.
