"Winter in the Uinta back country means powder, breathtaking scenic open spaces, and of course snowmobiles. 'The nice thing really about this national forest is we border the motorized recreation portion. Which is open to atv's and snowmobiles, for motorized recreation fans it's a big plus,' said Roger Eggett, Bear River Lodge.
"The mirror lake highway is groomed for 35 miles, scenic, that is where we send families on the two seat snowmobiles. But then we have tens of thousands of acres out here for off trail riding and as you can see you can go from scenic to extreme in a few minutes."
